Single-use urological stone extraction basket for grasping, manipulating and removing stones under endoscopy. NiTi alloy wires, 1.7–4.5Fr outer pipe, 600–1150mm working length, 8–20mm basket opening, multiple basket shapes.
PURETH disposable urological stone extraction baskets are used under endoscopy during urological diagnosis and treatment to grasp, manipulate and remove stones and other foreign objects. The basket is advanced past the stone, opened, then withdrawn and closed to enclose the stone securely for retrieval.
The basket wires are made from advanced NiTi (nitinol) alloy, which preserves the original shape of the basket even after difficult stone extraction. A purpose-built catheter delivers smooth propulsion and a controlled stone-removal feel, and the quantity and shape of the wires can be customized for physicians handling different cases.
Key Features
- Shape-retaining NiTi — advanced alloy basket keeps its original shape even after difficult stone extraction.
- Smooth capture & release — the basket opens and closes reliably to grasp, manipulate and release stones as needed.
- Four shape families — triple petal, half round headless, spiral / four-wire spiral and four-wire semi-circular.
- Controlled catheter feel — the catheter design provides excellent propulsion and a confident stone-removal feel.
- Wide size range — 1.7–4.5Fr, 600–1150mm, with 8–20mm basket openings.
- Custom configurations — wire quantity and shape can be customized to meet case-specific needs.
- Sterile, single use — one patient, one device; no cross-infection, no reprocessing.
FAQ
What is the urological stone basket used for?
It is used under endoscopy during urological diagnosis and treatment to grasp, manipulate and remove stones and other foreign objects. The basket is opened beyond the stone, pulled back to enclose it, then closed to hold the stone securely for retrieval.
What basket shapes are available?
The range includes triple petal (A), half round headless (B), spiral headless / four-wire spiral (C) and four-wire semi-circular (D) configurations. The choice depends on stone size, location and the physician's preferred capture technique.
What is the basket made from and why?
The basket wires are made from NiTi (nitinol), a nickel-titanium alloy that maintains its original shape even after difficult stone extraction, combining high elasticity with a controlled, low-deformation structure.
Which diameter, length and opening should I choose?
Outer pipe diameters run from 1.7Fr to 4.5Fr, effective working lengths from 600mm to 1150mm and basket openings from 8mm to 20mm. Smaller Fr sizes suit narrower access, while larger 4.5Fr models with a 20mm opening suit larger stones. Final selection should match the ureteroscope and procedure.
Is the basket single use, and what documents are available?
Yes, it is a single-use device for one patient only, eliminating cross-infection and reprocessing. PURETH products are manufactured under an ISO 13485 quality management system; export documents, free sale certificates and market certificates (such as CE) are provided or confirmed at the order stage. All baskets use NiTi wires. The letter group before the final digit indicates the basket configuration family:

| A | Triple petal type |
| B | Half round headless shape |
| C | Spiral headless · four-wire spiral · triple helix |
| D | Four wire semi-circular shape |
