PURETH disposable endoscopic biopsy forceps are used under endoscopy to obtain tissue samples from the digestive and respiratory tracts. One range covers bronchoscopy to colonoscopy — 1.8mm for narrow-channel scopes and 2.3mm for standard channels, with working lengths from 1050mm to 2300mm.

Two head styles are available: a toothed (serrated) jaw that grips tissue firmly and resists slipping for large, high-quality samples, and a finely polished oval cup with no sharp edges that glides through the working channel without damaging it. The standard range is plastic-coated, with the order-code letter selecting jaw style and whether a positioning spike is fitted, so distributors can match each tender's exact wording.

Key Features

  • 360° synchronous rotation — the shaft rotates a full 360° in sync with the handle for precise targeting and maneuverability, reaching the ideal sampling angle without repositioning the endoscope.
  • Anti-slip toothed jaw — grips firmly, does not slip; larger samples, clean bite, less tearing.
  • Smooth polished oval cup — no sharp edges or burrs, protects the endoscope working channel.
  • Channel-safe plastic coating — the coated shaft slides smoothly through the working channel without scratching it.
  • EO sterile, single use — individually packaged; no cross-infection, no reprocessing labor.
  • Complete size coverage — 1.8/2.3mm × 1050–2300mm for bronchoscopy, gastroscopy & colonoscopy.
  • Two head styles — toothed jaw for firm tissue, oval cup for routine sampling; ± positioning spike.

FAQ

What is the difference between COP, COC and DOP models?

The first letter encodes coating and spike: C=coated no spike, D=coated with spike, A=uncoated no spike. The third letter is the jaw style: P=smooth (polished), C=toothed. For example, COP is a smooth oval cup, unspiked and coated; COC is toothed, unspiked and coated; DOP is smooth with a spike, coated; AOP is smooth, unspiked and uncoated.

Which diameter and length fit a bronchoscope, gastroscope or colonoscope?

The 1.8mm models in 1050 and 1200mm suit bronchoscope channels of 2.0mm or larger. 1.8mm models in 1600/1800mm suit thin and transnasal gastroscopes, while 2.3mm in 1600/1800mm suit standard gastroscopes. For colonoscopy, 2.3mm × 2300mm suits standard channels of 2.8mm or larger, with 1.8mm × 2300mm available for thin scopes.

Are the forceps sterile and single use?

Yes. Each unit is individually packaged and sterilized with ethylene oxide (EO) for single use only, eliminating cross-infection risk and reprocessing labor. Shelf life is 3 years in the unopened EO-sterile packaging.

What is the 360° synchronous rotation for?

The shaft rotates a full 360° in sync with the handle, letting the operator reach the ideal sampling angle and target precisely without repositioning the endoscope.

What certifications and export documents are available?

PURETH products are manufactured in accordance with the ISO 13485 quality management system and hold Class II/III registrations for the domestic market from the National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) of China. Export documents, free sale certificates, and specific market certificates (such as CE) will be provided or confirmed during the order phase; please inform us of your destination country and model list.
