Single-use, EO-sterile monopolar polypectomy snare used with a high-frequency electrosurgical unit to remove GI polyps and during EMR. Braided snare wire in ellipse, half-moon and hexagon loops (10 / 15 / 25 / 30mm), 1.8 / 2.4mm sheaths (channels ≥2.0 / ≥2.8mm), 1650 / 2300mm lengths, with 360° synchronized rotation.
PURETH disposable polypectomy snares are monopolar electrosurgical instruments used through an endoscope together with a high-frequency electrosurgical (cautery) unit to resect gastrointestinal polyps and to lift and remove lesions during endoscopic mucosal resection (EMR). A braided snare wire is offered in three loop shapes — ellipse, half moon and hexagon — to suit polyp size, morphology and location.
The braided wire conducts current uniformly with high tensile strength and a smooth, controlled closure, reducing tissue slippage and leaving a flatter resection surface for cleaner healing. Opening widths of 10 / 15 / 25 / 30mm cover small diminutive polyps up to large lesions; 1.8mm and 2.4mm sheaths fit 2.0mm and 2.8mm (or larger) working channels, and 1650mm / 2300mm lengths cover gastroscopy and colonoscopy. A three-ring handle rotates the loop and sheath together through 360° for precise placement. The snare is passive — it generates no heat itself and must be connected to an electrosurgical unit; the same loop may also be used without current for cold snare polypectomy of small polyps.
Key Features
- Three loop shapes — ellipse for routine polypectomy, half moon for angled capture, hexagon for a wide flat opening over large or flat lesions.
- Braided snare wire — even current distribution, high tensile strength and smooth closure reduce slippage and help produce a flat resection surface.
- Four opening widths — 10 / 15 / 25 / 30mm cover diminutive polyps to large EMR lesions.
- 360° synchronized rotation — the three-ring handle turns loop and sheath together to orient the loop precisely.
- Hot or cold technique — monopolar loop for hot polypectomy/EMR with a cautery unit; usable without current for cold snare polypectomy of small polyps.
- Upper & lower GI — 1.8/2.4mm sheaths for ≥2.0/≥2.8mm channels; 1650mm gastroscope and 2300mm colonoscope lengths.
- EO sterile, single use — individually packaged; no reprocessing, no cross-infection.
FAQ
What loop shapes are available and how do I choose?
The ZYM-QT snare comes in three loop shapes: ellipse (oval), half moon and hexagon. Ellipse loops are the general-purpose choice for most pedunculated and sessile polyps; the half-moon loop angles toward the tissue for easier capture in difficult orientations; the hexagon loop gives a wide, flat opening that helps ensnare large or flat lesions during polypectomy and EMR. Choose by polyp size, morphology and location.
What sizes, sheath diameters and lengths are available?
Opening widths are 10, 15, 25 and 30mm. Sheath outer diameter is 1.8mm (minimum working channel 2.0mm) or 2.4mm (minimum working channel 2.8mm). Working length is 1650mm for gastroscopy and 2300mm for colonoscopy. See the specification table for the 15 standard models.
Is this a hot snare and does it generate heat itself?
It is a monopolar electrosurgical snare used with a high-frequency electrosurgical (cautery) unit and a patient return electrode; the snare itself has no power source and does not generate heat. The same braided-wire loop can also be used for cold snare polypectomy of small polyps without current, depending on the clinical technique.
What is the braided-wire design and 360-degree rotation for?
The braided snare wire conducts current uniformly and offers high tensile strength with a smooth, controlled closure, helping reduce tissue slippage and make the resection surface flatter for cleaner healing. A synchronized three-ring handle rotates the loop and sheath together through 360 degrees so the operator can orient the loop to the lesion precisely.
What certifications and export documents are available?
PURETH products are manufactured in accordance with the ISO 13485 quality management system and hold Class II registrations for the domestic market from the National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) of China. Export documents, free sale certificates, and specific market certificates (such as CE) will be provided or confirmed during the order phase; please inform us of your destination country and model list.

Applications
Hot and cold snare polypectomy and EMR for gastrointestinal polyps and mucosal lesions across the upper and lower digestive tract.
Colon Polypectomy
The 2300mm models with 10–30mm ellipse, half-moon or hexagon loops resect pedunculated and sessile colonic polyps during colonoscopy.
Gastric & Upper-GI Polyps
The 1650mm models remove gastric and upper-GI polyps; angled half-moon and wide hexagon loops help in difficult orientations and flat lesions.
Mucosal Resection
Large 25/30mm loops lift and ensnare raised lesions during endoscopic mucosal resection, with the braided wire giving a smooth, flat cut.
