Single-use, EO-sterile endoscopic foreign body forceps for retrieving swallowed objects, impacted food and resected specimens through the endoscope working channel. Four interchangeable retrieval heads — tooth, basket net, claw and net pocket — in 1.9 / 2.5mm insertion tubes and 750–2300mm working lengths, with synchronized-rotation handles.
PURETH disposable endoscopic foreign body forceps are passed through the working channel of an endoscope to retrieve swallowed foreign bodies, impacted food boluses and resected tissue. The FG series offers four retrieval heads — tooth, basket net, claw and net pocket — so the clinician can match the tool to the shape, size and fragility of the object.
The tooth (serrated) head grips large, irregular objects such as rubber and fabrics; the basket-net head encloses round and slippery objects in the stomach and intestine; the claw head grasps cut polyps, diseased tissue and clustered material without crushing it; and the fine-mesh net-pocket head traps objects accurately and firmly, including smaller or fragmented pieces. A synchronized-rotation handle turns the head together with the shaft for precise orientation, and the single-use design removes the need for reprocessing and helps avoid cross-infection.
Key Features
- Four retrieval heads — tooth, basket net, claw and net pocket cover hard, soft, round, slippery and fragmented objects in one product family.
- Tooth (serrated) grip — securely grasps large, irregular foreign objects such as rubber and fabrics.
- Basket-net enclosure — opens around round, smooth or slippery objects in the stomach and intestine for safe withdrawal.
- Atraumatic claw — multi-prong claw holds cut polyps, diseased tissue and clustered bodies without crushing them.
- Fine-mesh net pocket — accurately and firmly traps small or fragmented pieces and keeps specimens intact.
- Synchronized rotation — superior handle and head rotate together to orient the retrieval head precisely.
- EO sterile, single use — individually packaged; no double cleaning or disinfection, reduced workload and no cross-infection.
FAQ
What are the four retrieval head types and when is each used?
Tooth (serrated jaws) grip large, irregular foreign objects such as rubber and fabrics. Basket-net heads enclose round, smooth or slippery objects in the stomach and intestine. Claw (multi-prong) heads grasp cut polyps, diseased tissue and clustered material without crushing it. The net-pocket head forms a fine mesh bag that accurately and firmly traps objects, including smaller or fragmented pieces, for safe withdrawal.
What is the net-pocket retrieval net used for?
The net-pocket head uses a fine mesh design that opens like a small bag to capture objects firmly and accurately. It is well suited to retrieving multiple or fragmented pieces, slippery objects and resected specimens that need to be kept intact, then withdrawing them through the channel.
What sizes and working lengths are available?
The FG series is offered in two insertion-tube diameters, 1.9mm and 2.5mm, with working lengths of 750, 1050, 1200, 1800 and 2300mm depending on the head type. Shorter lengths suit upper-GI and gastroscopic work, while 2300mm models reach the colon. Please confirm the required model against the specification table.
Which endoscopes and channels do these fit?
They are passed through a standard endoscope working channel. The catalog lists each model with a clamp-channel figure of 10, 15, 20, 30 or 35; the exact unit and matching scope should be confirmed against your endoscope model and working-channel diameter before ordering. Send us your scope model and channel size and we will confirm compatibility.
What certifications and export documents are available?
PURETH products are manufactured in accordance with the ISO 13485 quality management system and hold Class II registrations for the domestic market from the National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) of China. Export documents, free sale certificates, and specific market certificates (such as CE) will be provided or confirmed during the order phase; please inform us of your destination country and model list.

Applications
Endoscopic retrieval of swallowed foreign bodies, impacted food and resected specimens across the upper and lower gastrointestinal tract.
Swallowed Object Removal
Tooth, claw and net-pocket heads retrieve sharp, irregular or soft objects such as bones, dental parts and packaging through the channel.
Impacted Food
Basket-net and claw heads grip large food masses and fabrics, then enclose or fragment them for safe withdrawal without mucosal injury.
Polyp & Tissue Retrieval
The fine-mesh net pocket and atraumatic claw collect cut polyps and resected specimens intact for histology and prevent loss in the lumen.
